Help Me With My Project!

I am looking into student’s opinions on college-level math education. I will be compiling a number of short interviews with students and editing them together into a video with the trends. I am guessing that students prefer a 1:1 learning environment and students who are successful work in groups and use free online rescources. Anyone who is interested in helping can email a video to John.Schroeder@maine.edu with a short (2 min total) response to the following questions:

1) Highest level math taken and gpa

2) Can anyone learn high level math?

3) How often are you/were you confused in math or science classes?

4) What is your favorite math-help website?

5) Rank the following rescources: lecture, office hours, internet, calculator, friends/groupwork, textbook

6) What is your ideal learning environment?

7) Any other comments are great!

One Response to Help Me With My Project!

  1. Monty says:

    1) Highest level math taken and gpa

I live in the UK so we don’t have GPA but I achieved an A* in mathematics(Highest grade you can get)

    2) Can anyone learn high level math?

I don’t think there are any limitations on the human brain whatsoever (Unless you have some kind of brain disease or defect) so I literally think anyone (with a fully developed brain) can learn anything they want but some people have to put in more effort then others.

    3) How often are you/were you confused in math or science classes?

Rarely but it still does happen. If anything doesn’t make sense I either ask the teacher or look online.

    4) What is your favorite math-help website?

    Khanacademy.org Lol Salman khan Ftw!

    5) Rank the following rescources: lecture, office hours, internet, calculator, friends/groupwork, textbook

    Textbook
    lecture
    internet
    calculator(barely use it)
    friends/groupwork
    office hours?

    6) What is your ideal learning environment?

A quite area with no distractions and a teacher I can constantly ask questions lol.

    7) Any other comments are great!

I think your blog is amazing and hope it keeps doing well good luck!
